Our Mission
Seana lived with extraordinary love, faith, creativity, resilience, and joy.
The More Than Exceptional Seana Foundation was created to honor her legacy by supporting young adults and families facing DIPG, and other brain cancers.
Inspired by the way Seana lived her life and faced her diagnosis, the foundation reflects her commitment to finding purpose, creating meaningful experiences, and bringing hope to others. Throughout treatment, Seana advocated for herself and fellow patients, built meaningful relationships, and worked to make moments of joy, connection, and purpose for those walking alongside her.
We believe every young adult deserves the opportunity to continue pursuing the things that bring them purpose, identity, and light.
Before the Diagnosis
Before cancer entered her story, Seana was a young woman who embraced life with curiosity, creativity, determination, and joy. But long before she became a dancer, a student, and a future physician assistant, she was a little girl with a vivid imagination and a heart full of wonder.
Her childhood was filled with simple joys. She spent countless hours playing kitchen, caring for her dolls, creating imaginary worlds, and putting on performances through play acting. The swing set in our backyard became the setting for endless adventures, and her beloved dogs were always part of the story. Even as a young child, Seana had a natural ability to create, imagine, and bring life to everything around her.
At the age of four, she began Irish dance, and from that moment it became one of her greatest passions. What started as a once-a-week class quickly grew into a lifelong commitment that shaped her character and connected her to a community she loved. Through years of dedication, she formed lifelong friendships, traveled across the country and around the world to compete, and eventually returned to teach and mentor the next generation of dancers. No matter where life or her career took her, becoming an Irish dance teacher was always part of her dream. She always planned to continue dancing and one day earn her TCRG. The dance school became so much more than a place to learn steps—it became her second family.
Seana approached life with curiosity and determination. She was an exceptional student who forged meaningful relationships with her teachers, professors, and mentors. She loved learning, asking questions, and understanding how things worked. Her drive led her through an accelerated academic path, earning her undergraduate degree in just three years before completing her Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies at Thomas Jefferson University.
Her story changed on September 1, 2023 — but who she was never did.

Seana was also deeply creative. Seana loved art, fashion, music, and finding beauty in everyday life. She played the violin, taught herself guitar, and sang with a beautiful voice. After her passing, we discovered dozens of recordings on her phone - small treasures of songs she had sung simply because she loved music.
She had a special love for Disney throughout her life. The stories, music, and characters captured her imagination and reflected the optimism and wonder she carried with her. Disney brought her happiness as a child and remained a source of comfort, connection, and joy throughout her life. In the end, it continued to bring her some of her greatest joy, reminding her - and all of us - that even in difficult chapters, there can still be moments of magic.
More than any accomplishment, people remember the way Seana made them feel. She had an extraordinary ability to connect with others, welcome people into her life, and make them feel seen, valued, and loved. Whether through dance, school, faith, friendship, or simply a kind conversation, she left a lasting impression on everyone she met.
Seana was so much more than her diagnosis. She was a daughter, a friend, a dancer, an artist, a musician, a future physician assistant, and a young woman whose compassion, strength, creativity, and joy continue to inspire others every day.
The More Than Exceptional Seana Foundation exists to carry forward those qualities - ensuring that her legacy is defined not by the disease she faced, but by the beautiful life she lived.
